Before Your Appointment

  • Installation time depends on your vehicle's size, the number of windows being tinted, and the film selected. Most four-door sedans take approximately 1.5 hours, while larger vehicles, such as SUVs and vans, may require 2–3 hours.

    These estimates assume your vehicle does not have existing window film that needs to be removed. We'll provide an estimated timeframe when you schedule your appointment, but actual completion times may vary.

  • We recommend arranging to drop off your vehicle and picking it up once your installation is complete. Our waiting area has limited seating, and installation times can vary.

    For added convenience, we offer a secure key drop box for vehicle drop-off and pickup outside regular business hours, with prior arrangements.

  • Absolutely! Existing window film should be professionally removed before new film is installed.

    Film removal is quoted separately based on the condition of the existing film and the time required for removal. Please let us know if your vehicle currently has aftermarket tint when scheduling your appointment.

  • To ensure the highest-quality results, all automotive window tint installations are performed at our Apex, NC facility. A controlled installation environment helps minimize dust, debris, and other contaminants that could affect the finished product.

    For residential and commercial window tinting, we do travel to your property.

Window Film & Installation

  • Window tint percentages refer to Visible Light Transmission (VLT), or the amount of visible light that passes through the glass and film.

    The lower the percentage, the darker the tint. For example:

    • 70%: Very light, nearly transparent appearance.

    • 50%: Light tint with a subtle shaded appearance.

    • 35%: Noticeably darker appearance.

    • 20%: Dark tint with increased daytime privacy.

    • 5%: Very dark tint, commonly called limo tint.

    Keep in mind that darker doesn't necessarily mean better heat rejection. Our advanced ceramic window films can provide impressive heat reduction without requiring an extremely dark appearance.

  • We use precision-cutting technology to cut our window film to your vehicle's specific window dimensions. Our technicians then thoroughly clean and prepare the glass before carefully applying the film to the inside surface of your vehicle's windows.

  • North Carolina regulates automotive window tint based on Visible Light Transmission (VLT), reflectivity, vehicle classification, and other requirements.

    For most passenger vehicles, aftermarket window tint must meet the state's applicable light-transmission requirements. Certain vehicle classifications, factory-tinted glass, and approved medical exemptions may be subject to different rules.

    It's important to remember that the legal limit applies to the combined light transmission of your glass and installed film—not simply the percentage printed on the film itself.

Aftercare & Maintenance

  • A slightly hazy appearance or small moisture pockets are normal immediately after window tint installation. When window film is installed, some residual moisture remains between the glass and film while it cures.

    Full curing can take approximately 30–60 days. During this time, the appearance should gradually improve as the remaining moisture evaporates.

    Avoid pressing on or attempting to remove moisture pockets yourself. If you notice an area of concern after the curing period, please contact us so we can inspect it.

  • Please keep your newly tinted windows rolled up for at least 3–5 days. This allows the film time to begin adhering properly and helps prevent the edges from lifting or peeling.

  • Once your window film has had time to cure, we recommend cleaning the interior glass with a clean, soft microfiber cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner.
